Class of 2015 Alumni Nic Porter has been announced in the Australian Men's Olympic Water Polo team to compete at Paris 2024.

Nic becomes the second St Andrew's Olympian from the College after swimmer Jake Packard (Rio 2016). We are unbelievably thrilled and proud for Nic and his family on his deserved achievement to make it to the Olympic Games.

The journey to the Olympics for Nic started when he began his schooling at St Andrew's in Prep in 2003. He started playing Water Polo in Year 4 and he found his passion, representing the College every year until his graduation in 2015. He was St Andrew's Water Polo Captain in 2015 and represented the College, The Sunshine Coast, Queensland and Australia at Junior levels and made his full Australian debut for the Men's team in 2018 against the USA and has represented his country 58 times. He gained a scholarship to play in the USA and played for USC Water Polo where he won an NCAA Championship in 2018 and was named in four All-American teams. He now plays for Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta professionally in Europe.

Importantly he has never forgotten his St Andrew's roots and at every opportunity returns to the College to coach, referee, inspire and assist in the sport that he loves. We are so excited to see him heading to Paris 2024 and we are lucky to have seen his journey to get to Paris. Congratulations Nic from everyone at St Andrew's #diamondstrong
