Principal's Scholarship

Do you display excellence in attitude, academic results, commitment, involvement, leadership and service?

The Principal's Scholarship offers 100% remission of tuition fees and all compulsory and subject levies for the duration of the student's Secondary education to a student entering Years 7 to 11 who may not otherwise be able to afford a St Andrew's education. Students must display excellent aptitude and attitude towards his or her studies, achieving consistently high results and will have also displayed a conscientious commitment to their school community, with a high level of involvement in school life. Applicants should have demonstrated leadership and service to others and commit to continue this at St Andrew's.

Recipients must continue to meet required standards which will be monitored and assessed at annual reviews. Co-curricular, non-compulsory trips and other costs such as uniforms, will need to be met by the family. The awarding and ongoing honouring of the Scholarship will be at the discretion of the Principal. Parents will be means tested and required to complete a Financial Statement Form which includes a Parent Declaration. This will be held in strict confidence.

Applications are open only to external students and are required to sit Academic testing. To apply, students must register for the Academic Scholarship and testing and pay the $95 application fee, then click on the Principal's Scholarship link to register for this scholarship. Additionally, the following documentation is required to support their application, including:

  • an introductory letter in student's own handwriting, stating why they would like to attend St Andrew's Anglican College and why they make a worthy candidate for a Principal's Scholarship - Developing Skills for Life
  • two most recent School Reports
  • copies of Certificates of Achievement including Naplan results
  • a reference from a member of an organisation or association that the student is currently affiliated with
  • a completed Financial Statement Form (available on the AAS site). Completed by the parents and held in strict confidence.
  • any other supporting documentation of achievements.
