Parents

We stand for collaboration.

Get Involved

We welcome and encourage parents to be a part of the St Andrew’s community and recognise the valuable contribution parents play in the culture of the College.

There are several ways parents can get involved and contribute to our community depending on your experience, time availabilities and interests.

Parent Ambassadors

Parent Ambassadors play an important role in helping foster relationships between fellow class/year level parents. Parent Ambassadors assist the College by:

  • meeting and supporting new parents of the College
  • developing a sense of community within the year level by organising social catchups, helping support College functions and fundraising events where possible encouraging parents to attend College events.

Guest speakers and event volunteers

In Primary and Secondary, parents are engaged as guest speakers who are invited to share their expertise and experience in business or industry with a subject group or year level. From time to time, parents are also invited to act as panel members/judges for subject assessment such as our Year 9 Entrepreneurship project pitches.

Parents can also get involved as guest speakers for our business networking functions.

We hold multiple events throughout the year including College Fairs and Primary musicals/plays. Although we have dedicated staff that work, we always love a few extra sets of hands to help our events be the best that they can.

Business Opportunities

Our Parent body plays an important role in providing industry and workplace opportunities to our students, and can also gain exposure for their businesses through the variety of sponsorship opportunities available at the College.
