Finish dates and times - Primary School
After reviewing the change in our end of year arrangements in the Primary School last year, we have made a number of slight adjustments to ensure a more systematic finish to 2017.
As with last year, the Year 4 – 6 Celebration of Learning will occur on the last day of the year, which has been published as Wednesday 29 November. There will be a change of time this year for this event, which will be held from 9.30 am – 11.30 am. The students will then finish the year and allowed to depart the school at 12pm. This is in line with the finishing time of the Years 7 – 9 students.
To allow the Prep – Year 3 teachers to attend the Upper Primary School Celebration of Learning, the students in these year levels do not need to attend school on Wednesday 29 November. Therefore, the students in Prep – Year 3 will finish school for the year on Tuesday 28 November at 3pm. If by some chance you have already made plans around your child finishing school on the Wednesday of which you are unable to change, please contact the Primary Office as we might be able to organise supervision. However, I am hoping that by giving you early notice of our staggered end of year dates, you might be able to make alternate arrangements. Otherwise, if you are attending the Years 4 – 6 Celebration of Learning, you are welcome to bring your younger child.
Please contact the Primary or Secondary office if you would like to discuss further.
Finish dates and times for Years 7 - 10
In order to best fit in with and maximise the number of families who can attend Upper Primary School Celebration of Learning the following finish dates and times have been put in place for the end of the 2017 school year:
As with last year, the Year 4 – 6 Celebration of Learning will occur on the last day of the year, Wednesday 29 November. There will be a change of time this year for this event, which will be held from 9.30 am – 11.30 am. The students will then finish the year and be allowed to depart school at 12pm. This is in line with the finishing time of the Years 7 – 9 students who will have their end of year service on this morning outside the Hub.
Our Year 10 students are not at school during this week as they are completing their full week of work experience.
This is the same organisation as last year so we are hoping that with early notification you will be able to organise transport for your children. If you think this may be an issue then please contact the Secondary Office and we will attempt to organise supervision until 3pm on this Wednesday afternoon.
