Thanks for a great Term 3

This week our Year 6 students have enjoyed a wonderful week in Canberra. They have been excellent ambassadors for our College and many people have commented on their wonderful manners, smart uniform and respectable behaviour. What a special opportunity full of learning and they will return home with many treasured memories! I have enjoyed following their journey and seeing photos on the Year 6 Canberra SeeSaw pages. Thank you to the staff involved; Miss Green, Mrs Bambling, Mr Ellis, Mrs Bibby, Mr Fraser, Mr Simmonds and Mr Linthorne for without their support, care and attendance, this trip would not have been possible.

As we conclude Term 3, I wish to thank all families for your continued support over this term and acknowledge the tremendous work our staff have done for the students. Their dedication is unquestionable. I wish all staff and families an enjoyable and relaxing term break and trust that the students return both re-energised and excited for the last term of the 2018 academic year.

I wish to remind all families that at the start of Term 4, we expect that all students return to school adhering to the College dress code. This includes the correct girls’ skirt length, correct hairstyles/haircuts, polished shoes and school coloured hair ribbons. Could you please check the state of your child’s uniform over the term break and if you find you need to replace any worn items, then the Uniform Shop is open during this time (click here for Term 3 holiday opening hours). We will continue to monitor the student dress code throughout the term and emails will be sent to parents with regards to any concerns we have in these areas. We ask you to please rectify any issues in a timely manner as it does make it difficult for the staff to enforce the correct dress requirements when we do not have support from parents.

I wish to advise the Primary School community that I will be taking Long Service Leave for the duration of Term 4. In my absence, Mr Ben Dean and Ms Cath Green will be the Acting Heads of Primary. Please refer any matters that may arise over Term 4 to either Ben (Years 4 – 6) or Cath (Prep – Year 3).

Best wishes,

Mr Rob Paterson
