Meet our new Staff

Director of Co-Curricular Music, Savanna Griechen:

Savanna Griechen is from Mandurah, Western Australia. She graduated from WAAPA with a BMUS Ed with a Minor in Drama. Savanna begun teaching Music and Drama across a variety of schools in Perth, London and Melbourne. She also worked as an performer in short films, Theatre, Musicals and Theatre in Education shows whilst living in London and Italy. Her roles have included Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Rusalka in Rusalka and The Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro. She has also sung chorus contracts for Opera Australia recently in their production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle. Whilst living in Melbourne for the pasts 5 years Savanna has sung in numerous groups including The Harpies, with Harpist Frances Thiele singing folk songs and the Macedon Ranges Music Collective singing Jazz standards. Savanna has moved to us from Braemar College and Alice Miller where she taught Voice, Music and Drama. Savanna would like to take this opportunity at St Andrew’s to build some great relationships with staff, students and parents and looks forward to engaging and encouraging all students to pursue their love of music. 

Chinese Teacher, Will Wang:

Mr Will Wang joins us from The Hutchins School in Hobart where he worked as a language teacher and boarding house residential tutor.  Will is joining our Languages Department and is originally from China with Mandarin being his first language.  Will loves karaoke, basketball and spending time with his family when he can as they are still based in China.  Will and his wife Grace met in Primary School and are expecting their second child later in the year.  Will is looking forward to working with students and families at St Andrew’s and sharing his love of Mandarin Chinese.
