AFL Champions

What a spectacular night for our Senior Boys AFL team who won the prestigious Josh Drummond Cup against a quality Mountain Creek team.

It was a nail biter to the point that that at the end of the match - careful deliberation was made to ensure that the scores were correct as there was just one point separating both teams. St Andrew's were announced as winners 9.15.69 to 10.8.68. It was an unbelievably close tussle and Mountain Creek who have won the Cup for the last 5 years looked superb.

Loki Haines led the St Andrew's team wonderfully and Marc Mano was awarded best on ground.

Jack Payne backed up his Premiership win in Sydney to fire for St Andrew's. It was a complete team performance form all 22 players. Special thanks to Mr Christesen and Mr Rowlands for a brilliant coaching season.

So proud to have St Andrew's now etched on the cup. Importantly we are really proud of the boys for not just tonight, or this season, but for the many years that they have represented St Andrew's so brilliantly. The Grand Final win was a fitting reward and it could not have happened to a more deserving group of players.
