3 great events coming up

A number of great events for our students, staff and families are coming up as part of the Noosa Triathlon Week and the students and whole College community are encouraged to support and get involved in a brilliant week.

Wednesday 1st November

What: The Run Swim Run at Noosa Main beach – ideal for surfers, swimmers, runners and nippers. Last year was a superb St Andrew’s turnout in a very safe sporting environment
When: Please meet Mr Austin and Mr Robson at 5.50am for registration at Noosa Surf Club on Wednesday 1st November

8-13 years- 500m Run / 200m Swim / 500 Run
14 years and over - 1.5km Run / 750m Swim / 1.5km Run

Transport: A bus will return to the College at 8am to return back to school for 8.30am. Students are to make their own way to the event and meet at Noosa Surf Club -

What to wear: Please wear red sports uniform and St Andrew’s Togs. Non St Andrew’s uniform items are not permitted.

Friday 3rd November
Pink Fun Run and Pink Day

We will kick start the day with the amazing Noosa Pink Run is on Friday 3rd November in Noosa

Over 700 St Andrew's students got involved last year and it was such a fun morning for students, staff and parents. Lots of staff are already registered to run.

When: 6.30am registration at Noosa Woods (end of Hastings St) on Friday 3rd November along beautiful Noosa beach.

All proceeds go towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation. So get involved in a really super Community event.

Transport: Buses will depart from the College at 6am and return back to school for 9.30am – click here to book your place on the bus

There are no excuses not to get involved. Students and families can also make their own transport arrangements to and from the event.

ALL STUDENTS IN PREP, YEAR 1 and YEAR 2 are to be accompanied by a parent/supervising adult.

What to wear: Get your Pink on or alternatively wear red sports uniform.

There will be lots of staff attending and Parents are also encouraged to get along and run and join in the fun. The 50% discount does not apply for parents.

Friday 3rd November  is also PINK DAY for the entire College  –all students are encouraged to wear pink to school and support the local and National Breast Cancer charities.

Please bring a gold coin or pink note donation. Morning tea is also available for purchase provided by our wonderful Year 11 Hospitality students.

Students will require additional cash for Morning tea.

Saturday 29th October
NOOSA Kids Triathlon

The Noosa Kids Triathlon is always a super event. Last year we had over 80 students compete.

When: Saturday 4th November Registration opens at 6.15am – races start at 7.30am

Where: It takes place at Chaplin Park - near the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club, Noosaville. Parking in the Gympie Tce precinct. Access to Chaplin Park via the footbridge beside the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club.

What: The event is a short achievable distance on a completely safe course.

(Age as at event day 29/10/2017)

11-13 years 200m Swim / 5km Cycle / 900m Run

7-10 years 100m Swim / 3km Cycle / 500m Run

What to bring: Students will require their bike, helmet, College swimmers, googles, swim cap, towel, running shoes and t-shirt / singlet.

We will aim to get a whole group St Andrew’s photo at the completion of the event so hang around.

Training- there will be 2 training sessions at the event run by Nick Croft and Jess Fleming

Saturday 21st October 8am – 9am – cost $10 payable on the morning
Saturday 28th October 8am – 9am – cost $10 payable on the morning

This will be perfect for our young student keen to go through the course and how to organise equipment at the transitions

I also know there will be many swimmers are competing in the 1000m swim on Friday and best wishes to all parents and friends who are competing in the Triathlon on Sunday 5th November
